The pandemic has hit hard on the education and socioeconomic sectors. To reduce transmission, the Faculty of Medicine has implemented a “Study from Home” policy for all students, and learning activities entirely shifted online. Although most students are back with their parents or in their hometowns, some are still living in their rented homes and need help in acquiring staple foods.
On the 18th of April 2020, the Faculty provided 100 staple food packages (sembako) to students from its Asmat Vocational Program as well as the Bachelor programs in Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, and Psychology. The Faculty also helped distribute 90 additional food packages from the governor of South Sulawesi for the students.
