As a form of humanism, the Medical Assistance Team (TBM) FK Unhas helped victims of the magnitude 6.2 earthquake that occurred in West Sulawesi on January 15, 2021. The team departed to Majene and Mamuju in 3 waves starting from the 16th of January to 8th of February, serving approximately 1,217 patients supported by the Regional Hospital of the West Sulawesi Province. The team was released by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof.dr.Budu, PhD, SpM (K), M.Med.Ed, who is very supportive of social activities like this. The team provided medical aid, distributed logistics with assistance from the Indonesian Army (TNI) Air Force and provided education to refugees on how to maintain COVID-19 health protocols during their refuge.
